Hornby have announced models for Class71 & for Adams Radial- see Hattons site. This means that there will be two suppliers of these models as D Jones and Oxford Rail respectively are offering them.

Five members of the club will be travelling, by rail of course, to Cologne next week to visit the major European model railway show. Some shopping may also be involved !

Lots of activity on Friedrichstrasse, with track being fixed down on all lines in station area. Continuing fettling of tram track. David brought along Halling model of Austrian- Viennese tram which ran extremely well .

Oxford Rail, a new division of Oxford Diecast have announced that they will be producing a 1:76 (00) scale model of an ex L&SWR Adams Radial Tank. The first test shots of the model will be undertaken in the first quarter of 2015.
No prices or availability of completed model have been advised
HOBBY NEWS Kadee coupler co-inventor dies
Model Railroader has announced that Dale Edwards Senior, inventor with his twin brother Keith, of what became known as the Kadee coupler,died 19th September aged 93.
His twin brother pre-deceased him.
Kadee was started in 1945 by the twin brothers, creating the first operating model knuckle coupler.
Dale has been credited with assisting in the development of more than 40 patents related to model railroad products.
