Model Trains in Petersfield- a special Open Day

TUESDAY 27th MAY to SATURDAY 31st MAY 

DISPLAY AT  PETERSFIELD  LIBRARY

Small display of the club history, general information on the model railway hobby and information on club activities

SUNDAY 1st JUNE 2014  10.00 am to 3.00 pm

A SPECIAL OPEN DAY TO CELEBRATE 50 YEARS OF THE LIPHOOK & DISTRICT MODEL RAILWAY CLUB

(It is believed that the first meeting of the club- then called the Petersfield, Liphook, Liss and District Model Railway Club, was held in a members home in Petersfield in 1964)

ST. PETERS HALL, ST. PETERS ROAD, PETERSFIELD, HAMPSHIRE

Adults £1.00 Accompanied Children: Free

4+ layouts in various scales and gauges, constructed by club members; modelling demonstrations; Layouts under construction; Club S/H items table. Club history display;

Plenty of opportunity to talk to club members about the hobby of model railways.

The venue is located close to the The Square, Petersfield. Public Car Parks close by. There is a Farmers Market in The Square on the day of the exhibition

 

The day proved to be very successful-over 120 attended and costs were covered with a small surplus.

Consideration being given to having a regular Petersfield event

 

 

ON THE SAME DAY THE CLUB WILL ALSO BE PRESENT AT THE MILLAND RURAL FAIR, HELD  AT THE RECREATION  GROUND OFF IPING ROAD, MILLAND. GU30 7NB approx 7 miles north of Petersfield

We shall have a new British 00 scale tramway layout called Idylton Vale on display in the Village Hall.
